Subject: RESOLUTION - 50th Anniversary of the Foster Grandparent Program
 
In the near future I plan to introduce a Resolution to honor the 50th Anniversary of the Foster Grandparent Program administered by Family Services of Montgomery County.

The Foster Grandparent Program was conceptualized by Sargent Shriver in the early 1960s, and established in 1965 as part of President Lyndon Johnson’s antipoverty reforms and reflects a proud tradition of community action in Montgomery County which impacts young people having special or exceptional needs and actively engages the adult volunteers.

Please join me in cosponsoring this Resolution.
