Subject: 2015 the Year of Pennsylvania Barns
 
In the near future I will be introducing a resolution declaring 2015 the Year of Pennsylvania Barns.

The Pennsylvania Barn is a distinct architectural form with many influences, but whose ultimate realization and ideal expression were primarily achieved within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania beginning over 250 years ago.

Barns are at the heart and soul of our Pennsylvania farms and the communities of which they are a part, thus significantly defining the agricultural character of rural landscapes across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth.

Please join me in supporting this resolution.
