Subject: | Condolence Resolution for Professor Burell Brown |
In the very near future, I will be introducing a condolence resolution honoring the life of Professor Burrell A. Brown who passed away on January 25, 2015. Mr. Brown was a tenured professor of business at California University of Pennsylvania, where he taught classes and conducted research in the areas of ethics, law and labor relations. As a respected union leader, he served the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties in numerous capacities. He was affiliated with other numerous civic and professional organizations, and he was a founding member and past President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Bar Association and the Pittsburgh Chapter of Black MBA’s. Mr. Brown was also appointed by Former Governor Tom Ridge to the Governor’s Commission on African-American Affairs, and by Former Governor Edward G.
