Subject: Special Occasion Permits (Former HB 631)
 
In the near future, I will be reintroducing House Bill 631, which will strengthen the Liquor Code as it pertains to special occasion permits. This legislation requires an original written application, with signatures and original dates, be submitted to the Liquor Control Board and must include a resolution by the eligible entity stating its current officers and approval of the application. In addition, it would require written notice be provided to the local police department or the PA State Police prior to the permit’s usage.
