Subject: | Re-Introduction - Turnpike Commission Reform (formerly HB 1536) |
I will be re-introducing legislation that will change the way that members of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission are reimbursed and compensated (formerly HB 1536). This legislation would prohibit commission members from receiving as a portion of their compensation, an owned or leased vehicle. It would also require commission members to be reimbursed for actual mileage of travel, at a rate equal to what is allowed by the Internal Revenue Service, as well as submit receipts for the expenses that are incurred. These simple, common sense requirements will ensure that the commissioners remain good stewards of government resources while still providing them appropriate reimbursement for the carrying out of their service to the people of Pennsylvania. Please join me in cosponsoring this important piece of legislation. Previous co-sponsors: CUTLER , DENLINGER , EVERETT , GINGRICH , C.
