| Subject: | Teacher Appreciation Week in Pennsylvania |
| In the very near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating the week of May 2 through 6, 2016, as “Teacher Appreciation Week” in Pennsylvania. Teachers are an invaluable resource as they make a difference in the lives of young children every day in schools across this Commonwealth. The contributions made by teachers are enormous, and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. This is reflected in the many lives they touch each day as they help to guide and encourage students to learn new knowledge and skills, and to develop their potential toward becoming successful, contributing members of society. Indeed, teachers seek to educate, innovate, support and influence youth to develop a lifelong desire for learning, and to instill in them an interest in pursuing their dreams. Please join me in honoring this Commonwealth’s teachers during this week. |
