Subject: Commonwealth Collective Bargaining Notification Act
 
In the near future I intend to introduce legislation that will require public notice of proposed state-wide collective bargaining agreements at least two weeks prior to final approval. My legislation will:
  1. Post the public notice on the employer representative’s Internet website two weeks prior to final approval of the collective bargaining agreement; and
  2. Notify Pennsylvanians of the terms of the proposed contract; and
  3. Inform taxpayers of the estimated costs associated with the collective bargaining agreement.
At this time, there is no law requiring any public notice prior to approval of a collective bargaining agreement with the Commonwealth. Taxpayers have a right to a more transparent government. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.
