House of Representatives
Session of 2013 - 2014 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 23, 2013 04:18 PM
From: Representative Stan Saylor
To: All House members
Subject: Marcellus Works Package

Due to technicalities, a link was not previously provided for the re-introduction of former House Bill 1083. For this purpose, the proposal is being submitted in a separate email request. I apologize for any confusion.

We are confident the Marcellus boom that has helped revitalize the Pennsylvania economy has just begun. The Commonwealth has benefited to the tune of over $389 million in state and local tax revenues and the creation of more than 88,000 jobs. The industry’s long term prospects are promising. With the economic boost realized, we plan on re-introducing and expanding our Marcellus Works legislative package. The package is aimed at cleaning up the environment, creating jobs, and utilizing our own natural resources to work toward energy independence. The package contains:

Representative Stan Saylor (former House Bill 1083) - Creates a tax credit for private fleet vehicles in order to lessen the incremental cost of natural gas vehicles.
