Subject: | Presentation Checks |
In the near future I plan to re-introduce legislation which will insure that presentation checks are properly “endorsed” by the persons providing the funding. This legislation will require all checks presented by the Governor and other elected officials to feature the phrase “Taxpayers of Pennsylvania” on the signature line of the check. Currently, many elected officials are having their name placed on the signature line of presentation checks. This legislation will ensure that proper credit is given to the true source of the funds, the taxpayers. The bill passed out of the State Government committee last session, but was not brought up on the House floor for a vote prior to the end of session. Co-sponsors to prior versions of this legislation include: Aument, Benninghoff, Cutler, Day, Denlinger, Fabrizio, Gabler, Gingrich, Grell, Hahn, Kauffman, Knowles, Lawrence, Metcalfe, Miller, Moul, Murt, Peifer, Quinn, Rapp, Roae, Rock and Youngblood. . |
