AN ACT
Making an appropriation from the General Fund to the Department
of Agriculture for the purpose of preparing for and
responding to an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian
influenza for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Appropriation.
The sum of $2,000,000 is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund to the Department of Agriculture for the purpose of paying
for the costs associated with preparing for and responding to an
outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza, a dangerous
transmissible disease of poultry, for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 2022.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect July 1, 2022, or immediately,
whichever is later.
