AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in safe schools, establishing the
School Safety and Security Augmentation Account and providing
for court costs and filing fees.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
section to read:
Section 1314-A. School Safety and Security Augmentation
Account.--(a) The School Safety and Security Augmentation
Account is established within the General Fund as a restricted
receipt account.
(b) All money deposited into the School Safety and Security
Augmentation Account shall only be used for the purposes under
this article and shall be distributed under section 123.
(c) Notwithstanding 42 Pa.C.S. § 3733(a.1)(2)(iii) (relating

to deposits into account), for the fiscal year 2018-2019 and
each fiscal year thereafter, $8 of each additional fee imposed
under 42 Pa.C.S. § 3733(a.1)(1) shall be deposited into the
School Safety and Security Augmentation Account and $2 of each
additional fee shall be deposited into the Access to Justice
Account.
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2018, or
immediately, whichever is later.
