A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Synod of the Trinity in Camp Hill on its
300th anniversary.
WHEREAS, On September 17, 1717, the first meeting of the
organization that would become the Synod of the Trinity was held
in Philadelphia; and
WHEREAS, Initially called the Synod of Philadelphia, the
organization was also called the Synod of Pennsylvania and then
the Synod of Pennsylvania-West Virginia, before being named
Synod of the Trinity; and
WHEREAS, Currently located in Camp Hill, the Synod of the
Trinity serves people in this Commonwealth, as well as West
Virginia and eastern Ohio; and
WHEREAS, The primary end of the Synod is that "As part of the
Body of Christ, the Synod of the Trinity, through the
responsible use of shared resources, supports and challenges
member Presbyteries to be vital, innovative, and faithful in
their collaborative and distinctive callings"; and

WHEREAS, At the annual Assembly Meeting in late October, the
Synod of the Trinity will be celebrating its 300th anniversary;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives celebrate the
Synod of the Trinity in Camp Hill on its 300th anniversary.
