Amending House Rule 56.
RESOLVED, That House Rule 56 be amended to read:
RULE 56
Adjourn
A motion to adjourn or recess is debatable, cannot be amended
and is always in order, except:
(1) when another member has the floor; or
(2) when the House is voting.
In stating the question on the motion, the Speaker shall
state that the purpose of the adjournment or recess is for a
district work period when applicable.
