AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in licensing of drivers, further providing for
qualifications for school bus driver endorsement; and, in
other required equipment, further providing for general
requirements for school buses.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Sections 1509 and 4552 of Title 75 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding
subsections to read:
§ 1509. Qualifications for school bus driver endorsement.

(d) Applicability.--The requirements of this section do not
apply to a school bus driver who operates a school bus for a
school which has power of attorney for legal guardianship over
its students.
§ 4552. General requirements for school buses.
* * *
(i) Applicability.--The requirements under subsections (a),

(b), (b.1), (b.2) and (b.3) do not apply to a school bus used by
a school which has power of attorney for legal guardianship over
its students.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
