AN ACT
Amending Title 58 (Oil and Gas) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in unconventional gas well fee, further providing
for definitions.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The definition of "stripper well" in section 2301
of Title 58 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended
to read:
§ 2301. Definitions.
The following words and phrases when used in this chapter
shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
context clearly indicates otherwise:

"Stripper well." An unconventional gas well incapable of
producing more than 90,000 cubic feet of gas per day during
[any] every calendar month in a calendar year, including
production from all zones and multilateral well bores at a
single well, without regard to whether the production is

separately metered.

Section 2. The amendment of the definition of "stripper
well" in 58 Pa.C.S. § 2301 shall apply retroactively to
production occurring after December 31, 2014.
Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
