AN ACT
Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in forfeitures, further
providing for controlled substances forfeiture.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 6801 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 6801. Controlled substances forfeiture.

(l) Municipal police agency share of proceeds.--Whenever a
municipal police agency was substantially involved in the
seizure of property ultimately forfeited by the court, the
proceeds shall be distributed so as to allocate at least 25% to
the municipal police agency. This percentage may be increased by
agreement. If more than one such agency is so involved, the
court shall equitably determine what portion of the 25% shall be
allocated to each agency.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
