A RESOLUTION
Designating the month of October 2016 as "Chiropractic Health
and Wellness Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Doctors of chiropractic are primary health care
providers with surgery-free and drug-free "conservative care
first" approaches to health care and public health; and
WHEREAS, Doctors of chiropractic have particular expertise in
the prevention, care and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal
injuries and conditions; and
WHEREAS, The chiropractic profession, since its founding more
than 100 years ago, promotes musculoskeletal health and overall
wellness by encouraging its patients and the public to maintain
a healthy lifestyle through good nutrition, regular exercise and
restful sleep; and
WHEREAS, Doctors of chiropractic recognize through clinical
experience and research that a sedentary lifestyle is
potentially dangerous for joint health, wellness and longevity;
and

WHEREAS, Doctors of chiropractic, through interaction with
patients and the community and in collaboration with other
health care providers, have the opportunity to teach the
importance of regular body movement and the relevance of
musculoskeletal health; and
WHEREAS, "Chiropractic Health and Wellness Month" serves as a
reminder to all residents of this Commonwealth that they have
the opportunity to overcome pain through chiropractic therapy
and to become active with the help of chiropractic physicians in
their communities; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the month of October 2016
as "Chiropractic Health and Wellness Month" in Pennsylvania.
