diagnosis. By submitting the request, the individual consents
for the department to make public the diagnosis on the
individual's driver's license or identification card.
(2) A parent or guardian of an individual under 18 years
of age or under guardianship may request the notation
provided under this subsection to be placed on the
individual's driver's license or identification card. The
parent or guardian must comply with all of the requirements
under paragraph (1).
(3) The department shall promulgate regulations
necessary to administer this subsection.

Section 2. Title 75 is amended by adding a section to read:
§ 1521. Autism spectrum disorder awareness.
(a) Contributions.--The department shall provide an
applicant for an original or renewal driver's license or
identification card the opportunity to make a contribution of $1
to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Account established
under this section. The contribution shall be added to the
regular fee for an original or renewal driver's license or
identification card. One contribution may be made for each
issuance or renewal of a driver's license or identification
card. The department shall monthly determine the total amount
contributed under this section and shall report that amount to
the State Treasurer, who shall transfer that amount to the
Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Account.
(b) Account.--The Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Account
is established as a restricted account within the General Fund.
Money in the account shall be appropriated on a continuing basis
to the Department of Health for education and training of
