A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life of Frank Capcino, known as "Frank Cappuccino,"
and the contributions he made to professional boxing and
extending condolences to his family.
WHEREAS, Frank Capcino, known as "Frank Cappuccino," was born
February 7, 1929, in Philadelphia to Anthony Capcino and the
former Josephine Corba; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino fought more than 130 amateur boxers in
the early 1950s and was a finalist in the Golden Glove boxing
championship; and
WHEREAS, After leaving the amateur boxing ranks in 1955, Mr.
Capcino turned professional and fought in six professional
boxing bouts, retiring undefeated; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino received his boxing referee's license in
1958 and, over the next half century, refereed more than 25,000
bouts, including 94 World Championship bouts; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino also served as a boxing judge in several
bouts; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino portrayed a referee in the major motion

WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino lived in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks
County; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino died June 8, 2015, at 86 years of age;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Capcino is survived by his wife Florence;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life of
Frank Capcino, known as "Frank Cappuccino," and the
contributions he made to professional boxing and extend
condolences to his family; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the family of Frank Capcino as an expression of condolence for
their loss and as a token of appreciation for Frank's vital role
in the world of professional boxing.
