Iraq and Afghanistan alone; and
WHEREAS, In these conflicts, women have served in roles
previously closed to them, placing themselves in harm's way and

benefit they have fought for and earned with their service to
this great country; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Defense, Department of Veterans
Affairs and other Federal partners must recognize and address
the unique challenges faced by women returning from combat

specific institutional and cultural challenges and provides
solutions and recommendations to create a better homecoming for
our female veterans; therefore be it

States to expeditiously address the health, social and economic
needs of female veterans and honor female veterans with the
respect and benefits they deserve; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
each member of Congress from Pennsylvania.
