A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the airmen of the 911th Airlift Wing on the
occasion of Pittsburgh International Airport Reserve Station
being nominated to compete for the 2015 Commander-in-Chief's
Annual Award for Installation Excellence.
WHEREAS, The Commander-in-Chief's Annual Award for
Installation Excellence recognizes the top five military
installations that are most effective at using available
resources to accomplish their mission and that have demonstrated
innovative progress in successful installation operations; and
WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh International Airport Reserve Station
(Pittsburgh ARS) was nominated by the Air Force Reserve Command
for the 2015 Commander-in-Chief's Annual Award for Installation
Excellence; and
WHEREAS, Pittsburgh ARS has represented the command four
times in the Air Force competition; and

WHEREAS, Pittsburgh ARS competed against four other Air Force
Reserve Command host installations for the nomination; and
WHEREAS, Pittsburgh ARS's excellence in installation
management, efficiency and effectiveness led to it receiving
Air Force Reserve Command's nomination; and
WHEREAS, After receiving the nomination, Pittsburgh ARS will
compete against active duty bases for the distinction of top Air
Force installation; and
WHEREAS, The distinction of top Air Force installation comes
with a prize of $1 million which can be used for morale, welfare
and recreation purposes; and
WHEREAS, In addition to receiving the nomination, Pittsburgh
ARS has also won multiple awards from the Air Force Reserve
Command throughout the past year; and
WHEREAS, With excellence in installation efficiency and
effectiveness, Pittsburgh ARS is a great source of pride to the
City of Pittsburgh and the Commonwealth; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate the
airmen of the 911th Airlift Wing on the occasion of Pittsburgh
International Airport Reserve Station being nominated to compete
for the 2015 Commander-in-Chief's Annual Award for Installation
Excellence.
