AN ACT
Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in child protective services, further
providing for the definition of "child."
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The definition of "child" in section 6303 of
Title 23 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to
read:
ยง 6303. Definitions.
(a) General rule.--The following words and phrases when used
in this chapter shall have the meanings given to them in this
section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

"Child." An individual under 18 years of age or an
individual under 21 years of age with an intellectual disability
as defined in the act of October 20, 1966 (3rd Sp.Sess., P.L.96,
No.6), known as the Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities
