AN ACT
Designating a bridge on that portion of State Route 147 over the
Wiconisco Creek, Millersburg Borough, Dauphin County, as the
Private Warren Snyder Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Private Warren Snyder Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--
(1) Private Warren Snyder, a native of Millersburg,
entered the United States Army in May 1944.
(2) After basic training at Camp Fannin, Texas, Private
Snyder was transferred to Fort Meade, Maryland.
(3) In November 1944, Private Snyder was sent overseas
and later assigned to Co. G, 121st Infantry in Germany.
(4) Private Snyder was reported missing in action on
December 7, 1944, during the Battle of the Huertgen Forest.

(5) On December 19, 1944, Private Snyder was reported
killed in action, having courageously made the ultimate
sacrifice for his country.
(b) Designation.--The bridge located on State Route 147 in
Millersburg Borough, Dauphin County, over the Wiconisco Creek is
hereby designated the Private Warren Snyder Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.–-The Department of Transportation shall erect and
maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
traffic in both directions on the bridge.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
