1Amending Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in county correctional institutions,
3further providing for board meetings.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Section 1732(b) of Title 61 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

8§ 1732. Board meetings.

10(b) Frequency and nature of meetings.--

11(1) The board shall meet monthly or, in the case of a 
12county of the eighth class, shall meet quarterly, or more
13often if required, and keep regular minutes of their
14proceedings in a book to be filed with the financial records
15of the county. The board shall make such rules and
16regulations for the government and management of the county
17correctional institution and the safekeeping, discipline and
18employment of the inmates, as may be deemed necessary.

19(2) The meetings shall be held at the county

1correctional institution no less often than quarterly or, in 
2a county of the eighth class, as often as determined by the 
3board, in its discretion.

4Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
