1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further providing for required financial

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Section 1786(e) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

8§ 1786. Required financial responsibility.

10(e) Obligations upon lapse, termination or cancellation of
11financial responsibility.--

13(6) An insurer who has rescinded coverage for a contract
14of motor vehicle liability insurance because the insurer had
15been paid with a bad check shall notify the department that
16the contract for liability coverage is no longer valid.

18Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
