1Amending Titles 30 (Fish) and 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in enforcement, further providing for
3powers and duties of waterways conservation officers and 
4deputies and for powers and duties of enforcement officers.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. Section 901 of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

9§ 901. Powers and duties of waterways conservation officers and
10deputies.

12(c) Exception to the prohibition of interception and
13disclosure of communications.--A waterways conservation officer
14whose duty it is to enforce this title and who has received
15training <-under 18 Pa.C.S. § 5724 (relating to training) on the
16use of body cameras in a course approved by the Pennsylvania
17State Police shall be defined as a law enforcement officer for
18the purpose of 18 Pa.C.S. § 5704(16)(iii) (relating to

1exceptions to prohibition of interception and disclosure of
2communications). Such waterways conservation officers may wear
3body cameras in the performance of their official duties. This
4subsection shall not apply to a deputy waterways conservation
5officer.

6Section 2. Section 901 of Title 34 is amended by adding a
7subsection to read:

8§ 901. Powers and duties of enforcement officers.

10(b.1) Exception to the prohibition of interception and
11disclosure of communications.--An officer whose duty it is to
12enforce this title and who has received training <-under 18
13Pa.C.S. § 5724 (relating to training) <-on the use of body cameras
14in a course approved by the Pennsylvania State Police shall be
15defined as a law enforcement officer for the purpose of 18
16Pa.C.S. § 5704(16)(iii) (relating to exceptions to prohibition
17of interception and disclosure of communications). Such officers
18may wear body cameras in the performance of their official
19duties. This subsection shall not apply to a deputy Game
20Commission officer or deputy wildlife conservation officer.
