1Amending Titles 30 (Fish) and 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, further providing for powers and
3duties of waterways conservation officers and deputies and
4for powers and duties of enforcement officers.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. Section 901(a) of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
8Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

9§ 901. Powers and duties of waterways conservation officers and
10deputies.

11(a) Waterways conservation officers.--Every waterways
12conservation officer shall have the power and duty to:

14(17) When acting within the scope of the officer's
15employment, have the discretion to issue written or verbal
16warnings in lieu of making arrests or issuing citations.

18Section 2. Section 901(a) of Title 34 is amended by adding a

1paragraph to read:

2§ 901. Powers and duties of enforcement officers.

3(a) Powers.--Any officer whose duty it is to enforce this
4title or any officer investigating any alleged violation of this
5title shall have the power and duty to:

8employment, have the discretion to issue written or verbal
9warnings in lieu of making arrests or issuing citations.
