1Making appropriations from a restricted revenue account within
2the General Fund and from Federal augmentation funds to the
3Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission for the fiscal year
4July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, and for the fiscal year July
51, 2012, to June 30, 2013.

6The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7hereby enacts as follows:

8Section 1. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
9necessary, are specifically appropriated from the restricted
10revenue account within the General Fund and from Federal
11augmentation funds to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
12to provide for the operation of the commission for the fiscal
13year July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, for the purposes and in the
14amounts shown:

15	Federal	State
16For the salaries, wages and all 17necessary expenses for the proper 18operation and administration of the 19Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 20including the chairman and 20130HB1281PN1644 -1-     1commissioners and the Bureau of Safety 2and Enforcement.
3State appropriation............		63,090,000
4The following Federal augmentation 5amounts, or as much thereof as may be 6necessary, are specifically 7appropriated to supplement the sum 8authorized to be billed to utilities 9for the operation of the commission:
10(1) "Natural Gas Pipeline  11Safety" - To enforce the regulations  12of the Natural Gas Pipeline Safety  13Act.
14Federal appropriation...........	2,819,000
15(2) "Motor Carrier Safety."
16Federal appropriation...........	1,888,000
17(3) "ARRA" -- Electric 18Regulatory Assistance.
19Federal appropriation...........	200,000
20Any Federal funds which the 21Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission 22receives pursuant to these 23appropriations shall not be reimbursed 24to any utility.

25Section 2. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
26necessary, are specifically appropriated from the restricted
27revenue account within the General Fund and from Federal
28augmentation funds to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
29to provide for the operation of the commission for the fiscal
30year July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013, for the purposes and in the

1amounts shown:

2The following Federal augmentation 3amounts, or as much thereof as may be 4necessary, are specifically 5appropriated to supplement the sum 6authorized to be billed to utilities 7for the operation of the commission:
8(1) "ARRA" -- Electric 9Regulatory Assistance.
10Federal appropriation...........	350,000

11Section 3. This act shall take effect as follows:

12(1) Section 1 shall take effect July 1, 2013, or
13immediately, whichever is later.

14(2) The remainder of this act shall take effect
15immediately.
