1Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2act relating to the public school system, including certain
3provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5laws relating thereto," further providing for continuing
6professional development and for program of continuing
7professional education.

8The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9hereby enacts as follows:

10Section 1. Sections 1205.1 and 1205.2 of the act of March
1110, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of
121949, are amended by adding subsections to read:

13Section 1205.1. Continuing Professional Development.--* * *

14(c.5) A professional education plan shall include a program 
15to be completed annually by all professional educators and other 
16employes of the school entity that is a minimum of three (3) 
17hours in length and provides training in bullying awareness, 
18prevention and intervention, including training related to the 
19school entity's bullying policy required under section 1303.1-A.

1For purposes of this subsection, "bullying" shall have the 
2meaning set forth in section 1303.1-A.

4Section 1205.2. Program of Continuing Professional
5Education.--* * *

6(c.1) To comply with subsection (a), each professional
7educator employed by a school entity shall complete annually the
8training in bullying awareness, prevention and intervention
9required under section 1205.1(c.5). The professional educator's
10continuing education record shall be credited annually for
11completion of the training required under this subsection.

13Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
