| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Designating a bridge crossing the Monongahela River spanning |
2 | Monongahela, Washington County and Forward Township, |
3 | Allegheny County, as the General Carl E. Vuono Bridge. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. General Carl E. Vuono Bridge. |
7 | (a) Designation.--The bridge carrying State Route 136 over |
8 | the Monongahela River, connecting the city of Monongahela, |
9 | Washington County to Forward Township, Allegheny County, is |
10 | designated and shall be known as the General Carl E. Vuono |
11 | Bridge in honor of retired United States Army General Carl E. |
12 | Vuono, a decorated veteran who served as the United States Army |
13 | Chief of Staff for four years. |
14 | (b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and |
15 | maintain appropriate signs which shall display the name of the |
16 | bridge designated in subsection (a) at each end of the bridge. |
17 | Section 2. Effective date. |
18 | This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
