SENATE BILL

AN ACT

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in minors, further providing for

penalties for selling or furnishing liquor or malt or brewed

beverages to minors.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 6310.1 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

§ 6310.1.  Selling or furnishing liquor or malt or brewed

beverages to minors.

(d)  Additional penalty.--

(1)  In addition to the penalty provided for in

subsection (c), a person who is convicted of violating

subsection (a) shall have his or her operating privileges

suspended by order of court as follows:

(i)  A 90-day suspension for a first offense.

(ii)  A six-month suspension for a second offense.

(iii)  A one-year suspension for a third or

subsequent offense.

(2)  Any person who violates subsection (a) is eligible

for an occupational limited license as provided for in 75

Pa.C.S. § 1553 (relating to occupational limited license). A

copy of the order shall be transmitted to the Department of

Transportation.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
