| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for license fee for deployed |
3 | Pennsylvania National Guard members and for resident license |
4 | and fee exemptions. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Sections 2707.1(a) and 2707.2(a) of Title 30 of |
8 | the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read: |
9 | § 2707.1. Deployed Pennsylvania National Guard members. |
10 | (a) Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall |
11 | issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any |
12 | person eligible under section 2701 (relating to resident fishing |
13 | licenses) for the license who provides documentation that within |
14 | the previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas as a |
15 | member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard or Air National |
16 | Guard on active Federal service for a period of [180] 60 |
17 | consecutive days or more or was released early from such service |
18 | because of an injury or disease incurred in the line of duty. |

1 | Only one Pennsylvania National Guard fishing license under this |
2 | section may be issued for each qualifying deployment of a person |
3 | applying for the license. |

6 | (a) Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall |
7 | issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any |
8 | person eligible for the license under section 2701 (relating to |
9 | resident fishing licenses) who provides documentation that |
10 | within the previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas |
11 | as a member of the reserve component of the armed forces |
12 | pursuant to 51 Pa.C.S. § 7301 (relating to definitions) for a |
13 | period of [180] 60 consecutive days or more or was released |
14 | early from service because of an injury or disease incurred in |
15 | the line of duty. Only one fishing license under this section |
16 | may be issued for each qualifying deployment of a person |
17 | applying for the license. |
