AN ACT

Amending the act of September 30, 1983 (P.L.160, No.39),

2

entitled "An act establishing salaries and compensation of

3

certain public officials including justices and judges of

4

Statewide courts, judges of courts of common pleas, judges of

5

the Philadelphia Municipal Court, judges of the Philadelphia

6

Traffic Court, district justices and the Governor, the

7

Lieutenant Governor, the State Treasurer, the Auditor

8

General, the Attorney General and certain other State

9

officers and the salary and certain expenses of the members

10

of the General Assembly; and repealing certain inconsistent

11

acts," further providing for compensation of certain

12

officials in the Executive Branch and for members of the

13

General Assembly.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

15

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Sections 3 and 4 of the act of September 30, 1983

17

(P.L.160, No.39), known as the Public Official Compensation Law, 

18

are amended by adding subsections to read:

Section 3.  Compensation of Governor and Lieutenant Governor;

20

State Treasurer; Auditor General; Attorney General;

21

Commissioners of the Pennsylvania Public Utility

22

Commission; and heads of departments.

(f)  The adjustment under subsection (e) shall only occur if

3

revenues collected by the Commonwealth as of October 1 of each

4

year meet or exceed projections for the first quarter of the

5

fiscal year according to the final revenue estimates signed by

6

the Governor, as established under section 618 of the act of

7

April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative

8

Code of 1929.

Section 4.  Members of the General Assembly.

(e)  The adjustments under subsections (d) and (d.1) shall

12

only occur if revenues collected by the Commonwealth as of

13

October 1 of each year meet or exceed projections for the first

14

quarter of the fiscal year according to the final revenue

15

estimates signed by the Governor, as established under section

16

618 of the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The

17

Administrative Code of 1929.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
