| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, providing for personal flotation device |
3 | requirement. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Title 30 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
7 | Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: |
8 | § 5505. Personal flotation device requirement. |
9 | (a) Requirement.--A driver of or a passenger on a boat shall |
10 | wear a personal flotation device while the boat navigates a |
11 | waterway in this Commonwealth. |
12 | (b) Penalty.--If a person violates subsection (a), the |
13 | boating safety education certificate of the boat operator shall |
14 | be revoked. |
15 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
