| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for person with disability plate |
3 | and placard. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 1338(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
8 | § 1338. Person with disability plate and placard. |
9 | * * * |
10 | (d) [Penalty.--Any person violating this section commits a |
11 | summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay |
12 | a fine of not more than $100.further providing for person with |
13 | disability plate and placard.] Penalties.-- |
14 | (1) Except as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3), any |
15 | person violating this section commits a summary offense and |
16 | shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not |
17 | more than $500. |

1 | (2) Any person, including a physician licensed to |
2 | practice in this Commonwealth or in a contiguous state, who |
3 | alters or falsifies a physician's statement for a handicapped |
4 | placard commits a third degree misdemeanor and shall be |
5 | sentenced to pay a fine of $1,000 or imprisonment for not |
6 | more than 90 days, or both. |
7 | (3) Any person committing a second or subsequent |
8 | violation of this section shall be sentenced to pay a fine of |
9 | not more than $2,000 or imprisonment for not more than 120 |
10 | days, or both. |
11 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
