AN ACT

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, providing for willful obstruction of

fire hydrants.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

§ 3305.1.  Willful obstruction of fire hydrants.

Whoever willfully obstructs or otherwise prevents access to a

fire hydrant, or to the surrounding area within three feet

thereof, commits a summary offense for a first offense and a

misdemeanor of the third degree for a second or subsequent

offense.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
