| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for license or permit application |
3 | hearing process and public input hearings. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 1205(b)(1) and (2) of Title 4 of the |
7 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended and the |
8 | subsection is amended by adding a paragraph to read: |
9 | § 1205. License or permit application hearing process; public |
10 | input hearings. |

12 | (b) Public input hearing requirement.-- |
13 | (1) Prior to [licensing a facility] issuing an initial |
14 | or a renewal license to a facility under this part, the board |
15 | shall hold at least one public input hearing on the matter. |
16 | (2) All public input hearings relating to an initial |
17 | application for a slot machine license shall be held in the |

1 | municipality where the facility will be located and shall be |
2 | organized in cooperation with the municipality. |
3 | (2.1) All public input hearings relating to a renewal |
4 | application for a slot machine license shall be held in the |
5 | municipality where the facility is located and shall be |
6 | organized in cooperation with the municipality. |

8 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
