| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Providing for presentation checks delivered by government |
2 | officials of the Commonwealth. |
3 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
4 | hereby enacts as follows: |
5 | Section 1. Short title. |
6 | This act shall be known and may be cited as the Presentation |
7 | Check Act. |
8 | Section 2. Definitions. |
9 | The following words and phrases when used in this act shall |
10 | have the meanings given to them in this section unless the |
11 | context clearly indicates otherwise: |
12 | "Commonwealth official." A member or employee of the |
13 | legislative or the executive branch of the Commonwealth |
14 | government. |
15 | "Presentation check." Oversized checks having no monetary |
16 | value but represent a loan, grant or other moneys provided by |
17 | the Commonwealth which are delivered by Commonwealth officials |

1 | to a person, business entity or institution in a ceremonial |
2 | function. |
3 | Section 3. Condition. |
4 | All presentation checks issued by a Commonwealth official |
5 | shall have in the signature portion of the check the phrase: |
6 | Pennsylvania taxpayers. |
7 | Section 10. Effective date. |
8 | This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
