A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the week of February 10 through 16, 2008, as "Career
2 and Technical Education Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Observance of "Career and Technical Education Week"
4 serves to increase public understanding and appreciation of the
5 value of career and technical education; and
6 WHEREAS, This year's theme, "Brighten Your Future...Get a
7 Career and Technical Education," emphasizes the role of
8 technical education in preparing students for good jobs after
9 graduation; and
10 WHEREAS, "Career and Technical Education Week" encourages
11 appreciation of the importance of career and technical education
12 in this Commonwealth; therefore be it
13 RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the week of February 10
14 through 16, 2008, as "Career and Technical Education Week" in
15 Pennsylvania.
