AN ACT 1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, further providing for deployed Pennsylvania 3 National Guard members and for reserve component of armed 4 forces members. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Sections 2707.1(a) and 2707.2(a) of Title 30 of 8 the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read: 9 § 2707.1. Deployed Pennsylvania National Guard members. 10 (a) Eligibility.--The commission [or], a county treasurer or 11 issuing agent shall issue one annual resident fishing license at 12 a cost of $1 to any person eligible under section 2701 (relating 13 to resident fishing licenses) for the license who provides 14 documentation that within the previous 24 months the person was 15 deployed overseas as a member of the Pennsylvania Army National 16 Guard or Air National Guard on active Federal service for a 17 period of 180 consecutive days or more or was released early
1 from such service because of an injury or disease incurred in 2 the line of duty. Only one Pennsylvania National Guard fishing 3 license under this section may be issued for each qualifying 4 deployment of a person applying for the license. 5 * * * 6 § 2707.2. Reserve component of armed forces members. 7 (a) Eligibility.--The commission [or], a county treasurer or 8 issuing agent shall issue one annual resident fishing license at 9 a cost of $1 to any person eligible for the license under 10 section 2701 (relating to resident fishing licenses) who 11 provides documentation that within the previous 24 months the 12 person was deployed overseas as a member of the reserve 13 component of the armed forces pursuant to 51 Pa.C.S. § 7301 14 (relating to definitions) for a period of 180 consecutive days 15 or more or was released early from service because of an injury 16 or disease incurred in the line of duty. Only one fishing 17 license under this section may be issued for each qualifying 18 deployment of a person applying for the license. 19 * * * 20 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
