        REFERRED TO GAME AND FISHERIES, OCTOBER 25, 2007

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for resident license and fee
     3     exemptions for deployed Pennsylvania National Guard members.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 2706(f) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 2706.  Resident license and fee exemptions.
     9     * * *
    10     (f)  Pennsylvania National Guard hunting licenses.--
    11         (1)  Pennsylvania National Guard hunting licenses shall
    12     be issued by the commission or county treasurer to any person
    13     otherwise eligible for a resident hunting license in this
    14     Commonwealth who provides documentation that within the
    15     previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas as a
    16     member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard or Air


     1     National Guard on active Federal service for a period of
     2     [180] 120 consecutive days or more or was released early from
     3     such service because of an injury or disease incurred in the
     4     line of duty. Only one Pennsylvania National Guard hunting
     5     license under this subsection may be issued for each
     6     qualifying deployment of a person applying for the license.
     7         (2)  The commission may promulgate regulations to
     8     implement this subsection.

    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
