AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Trustees of the Berean Training and
2 Industrial School at Philadelphia for operation and
3 maintenance expenses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. The sum of $1,512,000 is hereby appropriated to
7 the Trustees of the Berean Training and Industrial School at
8 Philadelphia for the fiscal year July 1, 2008, to June 30, 2009,
9 for operation and maintenance of the school.
10 Section 2. Payments to the Berean Training and Industrial
11 School on account of the appropriations in section 1 shall be
12 made by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly payments.
13 Section 3. The Berean Training and Industrial School shall
14 provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
15 required by the Department of Education or the chairman or the
16 minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate
17 or the chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
18 Committee of the House of Representatives.
1 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2008, or
2 immediately, whichever is later.
