AN ACT
1 Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for executive
3 sessions.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 708(a) of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
8 § 708. Executive sessions.
9 (a) Purpose.--An agency may hold an executive session for
10 one or more of the following reasons:

12 (7) To review and discuss plans related to school
13 security and emergency preparedness, including the physical
14 security of buildings, staff training, communication
15 procedures, plans for evacuation, lockdown or other safety
16 measures, coordination with police, fire and other safety
17 agencies, or other safety activities that if disclosed would
1 be reasonably likely to jeopardize or threaten school
2 security or preparedness.

4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
