AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for commercial driver's license
3 qualification standards.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1607(a)(2) of Title 75 of the
7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1607. Commercial driver's license qualification standards.
9 (a) Testing.--

11 (2) No person shall be issued a commercial driver's
12 license unless the person is a resident of this Commonwealth
13 and has passed a knowledge and skills test for driving a
14 fully laden commercial motor vehicle at maximum weight for
15 its class which complies with minimum standards established
16 by Federal regulation, all other requirements of the
17 Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986 and other
18 requirements imposed under Federal regulation which are
1 published by the department as a notice in the Pennsylvania
2 Bulletin. The department shall publish the content of the
3 driving examination for the commercial driver's license as a
4 notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. The tests shall be
5 offered by the department or its agents.
