AN ACT 1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, providing for raffle for free lifetime fishing 3 licenses. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Title 30 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 8 § 504. Raffle for free lifetime license. 9 (a) General rule.--For a trial period of four years 10 following the effective date of this section, the commission may 11 hold a raffle four times each year, quarterly, to give away two 12 free nontransferable lifetime fishing licenses in each quarterly 13 drawing. 14 (b) Cost.--The cost of a raffle ticket shall be: 15 (1) $6.50 for a resident licensee. 16 (2) $12.50 for a nonresident licensee. 17 (c) Sales.--Sellers of licenses permitted to be issued under
1 this title may sell raffle tickets and may charge a 50¢ 2 processing fee in addition to the price of the ticket set forth 3 in subsection (b). 4 (d) Revenues.--Raffle revenues shall be deposited in the 5 Fish Fund. 6 (e) Expiration of ticket.--A purchased raffle ticket shall 7 be good for four consecutive drawings or until the ticket wins, 8 whichever occurs first, and is eligible in each of the four 9 quarterly drawings after it is purchased. 10 (f) Limitation.--Only persons 18 years of age or older may 11 purchase raffle tickets sold under this section. They may give 12 purchased tickets to others as gifts, and, in such case, the 13 ticket holder becomes eligible to win. 14 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
