                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for organization of the
     3     Pennsylvania Game Commission.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 301(c) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 301.  Organization of commission.
     9     * * *
    10     (c)  Term of office and compensation.--
    11         (1)  The members of the commission shall hold office for
    12     terms of [eight] four years each and may continue to hold
    13     office for a period of time not to exceed six months or until
    14     a successor is appointed and qualified, whichever occurs
    15     first.
    16         (2)  A member of the commission appointed to fill a
    17     vacancy for a period of [four] two years or less may be
    18     eligible for appointment to a full [eight-year] four-year

     1     term. A member of the commission who serves a full [eight-
     2     year] four-year term or fills a vacancy for a period of more
     3     than [four] two years shall not be eligible for reappointment
     4     to the commission until a period of [eight] four years
     5     expires.
     6         (3)  Commissioners shall receive no compensation for
     7     their services, but may be reimbursed for travel expenses.
     8     * * *
     9     Section 2.  The amendment of 34 Pa.C.S. § 301(c) shall apply
    10  to members of the commission appointed on or after the effective
    11  date of this section.
    12     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
