                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
     2     Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for child
     3     protective zone; and imposing a penalty.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 9795.6.  Child protective zone.
     9     (a)  Sexually violent predators.--A person subject to the
    10  registration requirements of section 9795.1 (relating to
    11  registration) and classified as a sexually violent predator
    12  shall not intentionally or knowingly enter into an area within
    13  one mile of a school, playground, park or day-care center.
    14     (b)  Other offenders.--All other persons subject to the
    15  registration requirements of section 9795.1 shall not

     1  intentionally or knowingly enter into an area within 2,000 feet
     2  of a school, playground, park or day-care center.
     3     (c)  Grading.--An offense under subsection (a) or (b)
     4  constitutes a felony of the third degree.
     5     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
