AN ACT
1 Prohibiting motor vehicle lease payments for members of the
2 General Assembly.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Short title.
6 This act shall be known and may be cited as the Private Motor
7 Vehicle Lease Prohibition Act.
8 Section 2. Prohibition.
9 Notwithstanding any other provision of law or rule of the
10 Senate or House of Representatives and except as provided in
11 section 3, no member of the General Assembly shall be reimbursed
12 for the cost of a private lease of a motor vehicle.
13 Section 3. Existing lease agreements.
14 In the case of a private lease of a motor vehicle entered
15 into prior to the effective date of this section, the rules and
1 procedures in effect prior to the effective date of this section
2 shall apply until the expiration of the private lease.
3 Section 10. Effective date.
4 This act shall take effect immediately.
