                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for issuance and content of
     3     driver's license concerning anatomical donors.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1510(c) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1510.  Issuance and content of driver's license.
     9     * * *
    10     (c)  Anatomical donors.--Any person who is registered as an
    11  anatomical organ donor and who has in his possession a card
    12  issued by the recipient organization may attach the card to the
    13  reverse side of his driver's license or identification card in
    14  such a way as to permit the removal of this card should the
    15  person no longer desire to be designated as an anatomical donor.
    16  Any person may also attach to the reverse side of his driver's
    17  license or identification card a symbol provided by the

     1  Department of Health designating a person to be an anatomical
     2  donor or a person with an operative declaration of an advance
     3  health care directive as provided in 20 Pa.C.S. Ch. 54 (relating
     4  to health care). The department shall distribute such symbols at
     5  all photo license centers and shall make such symbols available
     6  in quantity to any political subdivision or organization on
     7  request. Information concerning registered donor status may be
     8  included as a part of the person's personal medical data.

    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
