AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for methamphetamine
3 laboratories and minors.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6321. Methamphetamine laboratories and minors.
9 A parent, guardian or other person supervising the welfare of <--
10 a child under 18 years of age commits a misdemeanor of the first
11 degree if, while supervising the child, he knowingly operates a
12 A PERSON COMMITS A FELONY OF THE THIRD DEGREE IF, WHILE IN THE <--
13 PRESENCE OF A CHILD UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE WITHIN THE IMMEDIATE
14 VICINITY, HE KNOWINGLY OPERATES A methamphetamine laboratory or
15 otherwise creates a chemical reaction involving a precursor
16 substance for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
